Saturday afternoon was spent at Barbara and Vicki’s quilt shop, Almost One Of A Kind. It was such a nice time sharing with warm and friendly women. I remember that warmth and friendliness when I went to my first quilt group ever, and it was in Kuwait. It truly is a sisterhood. The love of the artistry, the beauty of the cloth and the skills to teach and learn is quite enough to bring women together. However, I experience something else when in the midst of fellow quilters. They are givers. Their creations come from a nurturing heart. I am so thankful I was introduced to the Q8 Quilters. And I am thankful for the lovely quilters I have met at my local quilt shop today. ( I was invited to join them at their own quilt group only 20 min. from home)
Learning to quilt has opened doors of friendship for me with women all over the world; and I continue meeting new friends!
